About Cavapoos
A Cavapoo results from crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Poodle. This breed is known for being affectionate, intelligent, and hypoallergenic (thanks to the Poodle genetics). Cavapoos are popular for their loving nature and make great companion pets, especially for families, first-time dog owners, and those looking for a low-shedding breed.
Key Traits of a Cavapoo:
• Size: Small to medium (usually 9-14 inches tall, 9-25 lbs depending on the Poodle parent)
• Coat: Soft, wavy, or curly; requires regular grooming
• Temperament: Friendly, affectionate, social, and good with children and other pets
• Intelligence: Highly trainable, inherits smarts from both parent breeds
• Exercise Needs: Moderate (daily walks and playtime)
• Grooming: Regular brushing & periodic trims to prevent matting/tangling
• Health: Floppy ears need cleaning and regular checks to prevent infection
